I have a project on the Sizzix blog today!
You can check it out HERE.
You can see the tutorial for how I made my keychain HERE.
It’s my turn to host the Mix-ability challenge on Splitcoast this week!
The challenge is “Smooth Like Glass” – use glass, acetate or some sort of a glaze on your project. Play along with me! You can see the details HERE.
I used a fun keychain, charms and from Craft Fantastic, watercolors from QoR Modern Watercolors and stamps from the Sizzix Framelits Tags & Words set for my project (see full supply list below).
I started out adding some watercolorpaints randomly on watercolor paper. After that dried I added a bit of watered down acrylic paint. Once that dried I stamped my sentiment with Jet Black Archival ink – important that the ink be waterproof so that it doesn’t smear when you add your glass. After stamping the sentiment I added a little Stickles glitter. Let dry completely before the next step.
Add a generous amount of Fantastic Glaze & Glue to the back of the glass (Long Glass Rectangle) and position glass over sentiment. After it sets a couple minutes wipe of any extra glue around edges. Let dry completely.
Trim extra paper with scissors.
Add Fantastic Jewelers Dots to the back and position in the Silver Long Rectangle Tray. Finish as shown above by attaching to keychain and adding charms.
This is my card for this week’s Mix-ablity Challenge on Splitcoast. The challenge was to use Spring images or colors.
My background was made with a splattered and watercolored grid sheet (a little gesso first).
I made my charm with supplies from Craft Fantastic.
Add a drop of Fantastic Glaze & Glue. Press glass on to image (or in this case my color testing scrap), let sit a minute and then wipe off excess. Let dry completely and then cut around glass with scissors.
Attach glass to tray with Fantastic Jeweler’s Dots.
