Impression Obsession and Perfect Paper Crafting!

To make my background I stamped G16165 Lg. Boxwood Stem in green ink (with my Mini MISTI) over a panel of sparkle paper that I colored with Color Burst (Terra Verde and Ultramarine Blue).

I misted the image with water to give it a little more of a surreal look.

I used a piece of white cardstock for my sentiment panel. I used the same image (G16165 Lg. Boxwood Stem) and stamped off once before stamping on the panel to lighten the color. I stamped the sentiment (MC664 Happy Clear Set) and then added the Wishes die cut. I lined up my sentiment panel with my background panel so they would be all matchy matchy.

I used Perfect Layers Mini set and Perfect Cutting Mat along with my Ken Oliver Crafts Tool it All to create my layers on my card.

New Color Burst Colors and some CHA Fun!

Hello there!

I got to play with the new Color Burst colors (Caribbean Brights) from Ken Oliver Crafts at CHA! I didn’t have any to take home so I had the Color Burst Master Ken Oliver make me some sheets of watercolor paper up with some of the new colors and I promptly went back to my hotel and made up some quick cards. The first two cards use the new Color Burst colors and Ken Oliver Craft stamps (Covered Bridges and Studio Collection Set 1)

Here’s a peek at the new colors!

My last card uses the new (and equally awesome!) new patterned papers from Ken Oliver Crafts that look just like you made a Color Burst background (without getting your hands pretty colors). This paper collection is called Color Burst Splash (and will be available soon). I also stained a canvas flower with Color Burst to match! The stamp is from Impression Obsession. Fun stuff!

A Twofer Challenge Card … Here For You

This is my card for this week’s Color Challenge (CC539) & Free 4 All Challenge (F4A282) on Splitcoastampers.

The color challenge this week is Wild Wasabi, Soft Sky and Perfect Plum.

The Free for All challenge is anything that flies.

I used stamps and inks from Stampin’ Up for today’s card.

To create my background I stamped the whole Brushstrokes Background in Soft Sky and then wiped off the corners of the stamp. I added Perfect Plum ink to the corners and then blended where the colors meet with a sponge.
