Make A Mask With Dies

Happy Monday!

I have a technique tutorial today over at the CardMaker Blog! Check out how I used mailing labels to create masks for my project HERE

5 Happy Birthday Jeanne_Streiff

Supplies:

Whisper white cardstock, rose red and peekaboo peach ink pads and sponges from Stampin’ Up!; labels from Avery; Extra Grand Sentiments stamp set from JustRite Papercraft; Mini Misti from My Sweet Petunia; Wildflowers (#661190) dies from Sizzix.

AA Great Day

Sweet Friend

This is my card for this week’s Mix-Ability Challenge (MIX35) on Splitcoast.

The challenge this week is use tissue on your card.

I didn’t have any wrapping type tissue around so I went with bath tissue. I dripped some ( Faber Castell / Design Memory Craft –  Gelatos & water) on and then sprayed with a couple coats of spray glitter. I tore the panel and attached it to the pink embossed panel.

My embossed panel (Sizzix 657137 Botanicals & Beaded Ribbons)

I used the new 656 499 Sizzix Magnetic Platform to cut my label die. Not sure how I lived without this!

Add a clear plate over the Magnetic Platform. Add you stamped image and then position your label die (657913 Sizzix Framelits Die Set 5PK – Labels, Fancy #4) cut side down. This picture shows the plate with paper and die standing up (leaning against the back of my lightbox). No slippage!

Perfect placement!

The pendant was made with a scrap of my glittered tissue and a pendant from Craft Fantastic (Lacey Teardrop Kit). It looks like a bright blue opal!

MIX6 Happy Birthday

This is my card for the MIX6 Mixability Challenge on Splitcoast. The challenge was to use newspapers and Gesso.

I created my card by covering my background panel with strips of newspaper and then adding a layer of White Gesso with a paint brush. After the Gesso dried I dabbed paint (Ranger Distress Paint in Spun Sugar & Picked Raspberry) 0ver the stencil (The Crafter’s Workshop – Flutterby). The butterfly was made the same way, cut out and attached to card. I added pearls for the butterfly body. Stamps are from JustRite (Grand Sentiments)
