The Challenge Chicks are back at it with a new challenge!

This month’s challenge is “Wrap It Up″. Make a tag that coordinates with any gift wrap you have.

I made a tag card (see links below for products) with a new Tag Card die from Sizzix and Ken Oliver Crafts Color Burst.

I created my background by randomly adding circles to watercolor paper with a sponge dauber and gesso. Once that was dry I spritzed with water and sprinkled on Color Burst (Lemon Yellow, Alizarin Crimson and Ultramarine Blue). I used this for the front of my card and the scallop trim which is included with the Sizzix Tag Card Die. I die cut my card from white cardstock and then attached my Color Burst layer on top (I used one half of my tag die to cut it).

My owl was cut from my wrapping paper. I made the card background to mimic the colors and the dots on the wings.
