Today’s project is for the MIX83 and F4A236 Challenges at Splitcoaststampers.
I made a little scene using ink spray, inks and gesso. I added the final details to the water with Touch Twin markers. To finished my card I added some die cuts and a phrase from Impression Obsession and some Sand Ultra Fine Flower Soft for some added texture.

Make sure and comment on each of the blogs in the hop! One winner will be randomly chosen to win a $25 Gift Certificate from The Paper Loft! The winner will be chosen on August 31st at 9pm CT and announced on The Paper Loft Blog on September 1st.
Here’s my project using papers from The Paper Loft (On The Go Collection), dies from Sizzix and a purse from Z Becky Brown. See supply list at bottom of post.
I cut my insert panels for my purse and added a scalloped border and the phrases. I die cut and embossed the butterfly and then added ink to the raised areas of the embossing with a blender pen.
Here’s a closer look at the front panel (outside the purse).
Blog Hop List:
I think most of you that follow my blog know that I love to make backgrounds. This week’s newsletter technique at Splitcoaststampers is called Colored Dry Embossing. You can see the tutorial HERE. My project follows the tutorial fairly closely using Ranger Distress inks, dies and an embossing folder from Sizzix. You can see the full supply list at the bottom of this post.
Since they have such a nice tutorial at Splitcoast I’m just going to run through the steps with pictures today.
