Flower Soft Challenge and Tutorial

It’s a Challenge week at Flower Soft!  For details and prize info please visit the  Flower Soft Blog.

This week’s challenge is Happy Spring.

…and here is a tutorial on how I made my card.

I started out with the Country Bicycle card topper from Flower Soft and used a Sizzix framelits die (Fancy labels) to cut a portion of the image.

I sponged the edges of the die cut with Chocolate ink.

I added Sweet Pea Flower Soft.

…and then some Fuchsia Flower Soft and set aside to dry.

I embossed my pink cardstock panel with a Sizzix Textured Impressions folder (Dots & Flowers)

I sponged the embossed panel with Chocolate ink and attached it to my brown.card base. Add bike panel with foam tape. Stamp sentiment and cut with Sizzix framelits die (scallop circle).

Sponge edges with brown ink and attach to card. Add bow to finish the card.

I love this card. I never would have thought of cutting out the flower soft picture that way. Also, sponging the embossed piece is really effective.
