Sometimes…….

Sometimes a card doesn’t need ribbons, a sentiment or any extra embellishments.

It’s hard for me sometimes to stop adding all the extra doodads to a card. When you get a good color scheme, layout and image though I think it’s best just to let the card itself shine.

I have some exciting news!!! Lizzie Anne Designs has some sneak peeks (check out the cutie Cowboy!) of their Sept 10th releases on their site! You can see them here – Sneak Peeks

Here’s a card that I made for today’s Sketch Challenge with no embellishments.

Stamps: Jolies Fleurs – Lizzie Anne Designs

Paper: Chocolate Chip, Purely Pomegranate, Basic Grey Pheobe

Ink: Noir Black Palette

Accessorie: Copic Markers

Falling

Today’s Color Challenge was to use Soft Sky and Groovy Guava. I thought it would be a fun color combo for a Fall card. The main image was colored with Copic markers.

Stamps: Falling for You, Behind the Scenes – My Favorite Things

Paper: Georgia Pacific White, Soft Sky, Groovy Guava

Ink: Noir Black Palette, Soft Sky, Groovy Guava

Accessories: Copic markers, Soft Sky Stitched GG Ribbon

Neglected Flower

I bought this gorgeous Ruffled Bloom stamp from Stampendous months ago. The poor thing has been sitting in the drawer waiting for some ink. Shame on me!!!

The flower was watercolored with Ranger Distress inks (Fired Brick and Dried Marigold) and an Aquapainter. The background started out Soft Sky, I stamped the Baroque Motiffs swirl in Wild Wasabi and Brushed Corduroy (Ranger). Sponged with Brushed Corduroy.

Stamps: Baroque Motiffs – Stampin’ Up!, Ruffled Bloom – Stampendous, Phrase from Impression Obsession

Paper: Whisper White, Soft Sky, Chocolate Chip

Ink: Wild Wasabi, Ranger Distress Inks – Fired Brick, Dried Marigold, Brushed Corduroy

Accessories: Ribbon by May Arts
