Hi! my name is Jeanne Streiff. I live in the great state of Texas with my husband of almost 30 years. We share four grown sons and two absolutely perfect grandchildren. I was a stay at home Mom for 20+ years and found my way to Splitcoaststampers.com in 2005. I was asked to be on the Splitcoast Dirty Dozen Design Team a few months later. In the years since I’ve enjoyed working with some wonderful craft and art supply companies. You can find my work regularly in assorted books and magazines. When I’m not in the craft room you can find me reading, watching movies (I love a good campy monster movie) or hanging out with the dog. I have dabbled in many crafts over the years -pottery, quilting, painting and drawing. There is something about creating a nice card or handmade gift that just can’t be beat. My life is good. I get to spend hours each day playing with wonderful products and I get to work with some of my favorite people. Can get much better than that!

I have a project to share today using the Sizzix 658717 Writing Desk Bigz Die and the 658726  Ink Splats (and Wood Planks) Textured Impressions folder.

I used my Big Shot to emboss my paper (Basic Gray) with the 658 726  Ink Splats (and Wood Planks) Textured Impressions folder. I rubbed the raised (embossed) areas with brown ink. I then took a paintbrush and splattered some pink ink onto my background. I also used my paintbrush to hit any of the high spots that I missed and let the brown and pink ink blend together a bit. I sponged the edges with brown ink.I die cut my feather and ink well with my Big Shot.I sponged the edges with brown ink and then added detail on the feathers with a light grey pen. Assemble card.
