I’m going to show you how to make a mixed media card with a little acrylic paint, die cuts and Copper Metallic Cardstock 105# from paperandmore.com.
I started by thinning down white and turquoise acylic craft paint with a little water and splattering a pooling a little paint. The Copper Metallic 105# worked perfectly for this technique. I cut the Copper Metallic Cardstock 4″x 51/4″.
I then painted another piece of Copper Metallic 105# with some simple lines and dots leaving a little copper color showing through.
I painted another piece of Copper Metallic and used a die cut to cut out a fun squiggle shape and heart from Scribbles and Splats with my Sizzix Big Shot and Sizzix Magnetic Platform.
I die cut my phrase (Thinlits Die Set Handwritten Love) from Copper Metallic
The heart (Sizzix Scribbles and Splats) was die cut using Classic White 100#
I cut Classic White 100# 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ (half sheet of 8 1/2 x 11″) and then scored and folded it in half for my card back. I attached the Copper panel and the die cuts as shown. I finished my card off with a few metallic sequins from Taylored Expressions.
