MIX24 Ride Hard

This is my card for this week’s Mix-Ability (MIX24) Challenge on Splitcoast. The challenge this week (MIX24) is to use a paper napkin to decoupage on your project. I went my own way on this because I didn’t have any napkins with a print. Instead I used ink to create a pattern on a plain white napkin.
I have some more western fun to share today with a oh so fun card using stamps from the DK Designs stamp line at Impression Obsession. The new release that will be available July 22nd.

My card uses the following IO products: C13145 Barbed Wire, D13167 Rodeo Silhouette 3, C13164 Ride Hard

I created a simple one layer card by stamping with multiple colors of Clearsnap Premium Dye  inks onto Straw cardstock (Discountcardstock.com). Ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbons.

I inked up a plain white napkin with Colorbox Premium Dye ink refills mixed with a little water (Guava, Banana, Jalapeno).

I attached my napkin to a piece of white cardstock with Mod Podge.

I trimmed the excess napkin parts and then used an embossing folder to get the pretty flower pattern (Sizzix Flower & Wreath set Textured Impressions Embossing Folder)

My last step on the background was to add a few drips of Tangerine ink. In the midst of making my project I had a little spill so I used the ink that had pooled in the cap of my Clearsnap Tangerine Ink Sprays! with a paintbrush. Hate to waste pretty ink. 🙂

I finished my card by stamping the cowgirl and phrase in Colorbox Premium Dye ink Guava and Tangerine and the barbed wire border in Licorice.
