  33. Considering the fact the this “benchmark” oil law will effect the long-term future of Iraq’s oil and assure foreign corporate control of production and oil revenue. With the Production Sharing Agreement (PSA) clause the multinational oil companies will recieve the vast majority of the profit from the oil, leaving very little revenue for the Iraqi people for reconstuction and other essential social services they so desperately need. For this reason it is only fair that the Iraqi population should be entitled to vote for thier own future.
