Paper Piecing

Paper Piecing is a technique I use all the time. It’s really simple and you get a great result.

Step 1 – Stamp your image on CS (I used Whisper White). This will be your base for layering.

Step 2 – Stamp the same image again on colored CS or patterned paper (I used Ruby Red for the balloons and DP from DCWV for the dress and shoes).

Step 3 – Carefully cut out the images that will be layered.

Step 4 – Color your background before layering.

Step 5 – Add your layers. I leave some edges loose to create more shadow. In this case, the bottom edge of the dress.

Step 6 -Finish your card!
